The night of August 31, 1997, Princess Diana's automobile was involved in a tunnel accident in Paris. Lady Di survived the accident for a while before passing away the next morning in the hospital. Somebody wanted to rob the grave of Princess Diana four times

At Althorp, the Northamptonshire home of the Spencer family, Princess Diana is laid to rest. The estate is currently owned by Charles Spencer, the ninth Earl of Diana's family. The Princess Diana burial sits close to a lake on the estate's grounds that has a little island in it. Additionally, there is a memorial on the lake's shore that anybody may visit to honor the late princess. Despite the fact that Princess Diana's burial is off limits to the general public, robbers attempted to rob it four times. Thankfully, none of the attempts were successful, thus it is unknown what the robbers intended to take.
